Pizza Luisa – the creaminess of burrata

For the Luisa pizza
- 250g of pizza dough (if you prefer to make it yourself, see our homemade pizza dough recipe)
- 125 ml of tomato sauce
- 200g of cherry tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of pesto
- 1 burrata
- Seasoning: salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil
Preparation steps - - - - -
- Before you begin, preheat your Piana oven .
- Spread the dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Apply a generous layer of tomato sauce to the dough, leaving a margin on the edges to form the crust.
- Arrange the cherry tomatoes; for a more colorful touch, use yellow and red tomatoes. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and distribute them evenly over the tomato sauce.
- Using a tablespoon, spread the pesto over the cherry tomatoes, according to your taste preferences.
- Place your pizza in the oven. Using the Aquila ZiiPa pizza peel , transfer your pizza to the preheated oven. Bake for exactly 60 seconds.
- Once the pizza is out of the oven, arrange the pieces of burrata on top while it's still hot. The heat from the pizza will melt the cheese slightly.
- For a finishing touch, sprinkle with freshly chopped basil and add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil to enhance the flavors, along with salt and pepper.
