Ingredients :
To prepare the Rosa pizza you will need the following ingredients:
- 250g pizza dough (if you prefer to make it yourself, check out our homemade pizza dough recipe here! ),
- 20cl of tomato sauce,
- 1 to 2 balls of mozzarella,
- Some yellow cherry tomatoes,
- Seasoning: olive oil, salt and pepper.
Recipe steps:
1 - Before you begin, prepare your ingredients. Slice the mozzarella into rounds and let it drain, either on paper towels or in a colander placed over a bowl. This will remove most of the whey and prevent the mozzarella from falling apart.
2 - Cut the yellow cherry tomatoes in half and set aside.
3 - Meanwhile, preheat your Piana pizza oven .
4 - Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, forming a thin, even base.
5 - Spread the tomato sauce generously on the dough, leaving a margin all around to form the crust.
6 - After the mozzarella slices have drained, arrange them on the tomato sauce so that they form the petals of a flower.
7 - Place half a tomato in the center of the mozzarella slices to form a flower.
8 - Add a light drizzle of olive oil.
9 - Then, using the Eva ZiiPa perforated pizza peel , carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and cook for up to 90 seconds maximum, until the crust is golden brown.
10 - Take your preparation out of the oven, and arrange a few basil leaves then cut and enjoy this delicious Pizza Rosa.
